‘When I’m acting I feel more alive than anywhere else. I’m forced to be in the here and now and to take every moment in like it was the last. It’s exhilarating!’

Born in Hamlet’s hometown, Elsinor, Denmark, it only made sense that the budding young actress would grow up with a zest for big drama, which she immediately took to the stage. At just seven years old, Kristina started performing in a band and putting on small theater productions with her classmates. Her passion for acting and storytelling took her to University in Copenhagen where she studied film and media. After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree, she relocated to Sweden to attend the University of Stockholm. There she completed her Masters of Arts degree in journalism under newspaper magnet and mentor, Arne Ruth.

Throughout her studies, Kristina modeled for print media and commercials, a move that took her on a grand tour of Europe, Los Angeles and New York elite models. She was cast as a host for ZTV, Scandinavian’s off-spin of MTV, and, television career aside, continued performing with other up-and-coming actors, producers and directors from The Danish Film School. She also found time to work behind the camera as a director of a docu-soap broadcast on Danish national TV and worked as assistant director on TV docu-soaps Wonderkids and Home Sweet Home broadcast on Danish National TV, as well.

To advance her acting skills , Kristina moved to Los Angeles and she spent a semester at UCLA studying under Michael Hackett and Michael McClain. After returning to Copenhagen, Kristina got accepted to the two-year Meisner program at the Danish Acting Studio in Ophelia. During that time, she showcased two productions and a film with her fellow actors and directors Pia Bovin and Niels Anders Thorn.

Since her father lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Kristina spent much of her childhood in the United States. Her love for the country – particularly New York City –  prompted her take a leap of faith and move to the Big Apple in 2006. Today, Kristina is finishing up the  two-year acting program at the Esper Studio taught by William Esper.
